ART -PERUNGALAM CAMP
Association of Retired Teachers (ART) of St.
Gregorios College conducted its annual study camp and tour was held at
Perungalam on 30th
November,2013. The Journey was started at Kottarakara Marthoma Jubilee Mandiram
at 7.45 A.M by bus. Forty members took part the various programmes. 2 hours boating was begun at 11A.M.After the
lunch business meeting was at 2.30 P.M. Perungalam Mar Thoma Dhyana Theeram
situated on the scenically enchanting Perungalam island in Kollam is the only
lakeside meditation center of the Marthoma Syrian Church, which was inaugurated
on February 8th 2013. This island is on the gleaming Astamudi lake
blessed with indescribable tranquility and luxuriant greenery around, bordered
with tall coconut palm trees that glide the fragrant brees blowing over the
glittering fresh waters of the lake. The Centre that blends natural beauty with
divine presence is an ideal place for conferences, retreates, holiday rest and
amusement. The inspiring view of the rising and setting sun and the amazing
ambience of varied hues and colours proclaim the boundless beauty of the handiwork
of the Great Architect. Here is an opportunity to feel the spirit of the Nature
and glorify the Almighty God
