KOTTARAKARA ST.GREGORIOS COLLEGE ART CONDUCTTTED TWO DAYS ANNUAL CAMP AT KUTTIKANAM

Association of Retired Teachers (ART) of St. Gregorios College conducted this year’s (2016) annual two days camp at KUttikanam Thrisangu Heaven on 27^th and 28 February,2016.36 members participated. The members reached Kuttikanam at 12.30 p.m ON 27^th February. The preliminary session was begun at Paruthumpara, the tourist center at 4.30 P.M. The Night session of the ART meeting was held at 6.30 P.M at the resort open auditorium.The organizing committee arranged a camp fire also. The official meeting of the Association members was held at the resort seminar hall on 28^th February morning at 8.30. Prof. Babu Kutty, Former president inaugurated Dr. Jacob John, president presided. Prof. G. Jacob, Secretary welcomed the members.

TRIBUTE PAID TO PROF. P. SASIDHARAN NAIR

കൊട്ടാരക്കര സെൻറ് .ഗ്രീഗോറിയോസ് കോളേജ് കോമേഴ്സ് വിഭാഗം റിട്ട് .പ്രൊഫസർ കുന്നക്കര പൗർണമിയിൽ പി.ശശിധരൻ നായർ 2016 ഫെബ്രുവരി  13  നു നിര്യാതനായി , 63 വയസ്സായിരുന്നു .അയിരൂർ വലിയ തോട്ടത്തിൽ കുടുംബംഗമാണ് .റിട്ട.അദ്ധ്യാപിക വൽസലകുമാരിയാണ് ഭാര്യ .നീന ,നിതിൻ എന്നിവർ മക്കളാണ് .ശവസംസ്ക്കാരം ഫെബ്രുവരി  16 നു തിങ്കളാഴ്ച്  11 മണിക്ക്  വീട്ടുവളപ്പിൽ നടത്തി .ജീവിതത്തിന്റെ  വിവിധ തുറകളിൽ  പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്ന  നൂറുകണക്കിനു  ആളുകൾ അന്ത്യോപചാര മർപ്പിക്കാൻ  പരേതന്റെ  ഭവനത്തിൽ  എത്തിയിരുന്നു .സീനിയർ കോളേജ്  അദ്ധ്യാപകരുടെ  സംഘടനയായ  ആർട്ട്‌ (A .R .T ) ഭാരവാഹികൾ  ഭവനത്തിൽ എത്തി മൃതദേഹത്തിൽ പുഷ്പചക്രം ആർപ്പിച്ചു . അദ്ധ്യാപകർ . വ്യാപാരികൾ , രാഷ്ട്രീയ പ്രവർത്തകർ  തുടങ്ങിയവർ അന്ത്യോപചാരമർപ്പിക്കാൻ എത്തിയിരുന്നു .ART ( Association of Retired Teachers )ൻറെ യോഗം ശശിധരൻ നായരുടെ ദേഹ വിയോഗത്തിൽ അനുശോചനം രേഖപെടുത്തി .

Prof. John Kurakar, Global Council Trustee of United Religions Initiative (U.R.I) received Pravasi Bharathi Vidya Srestha Awrd-2016 on 11^th January at V.J.T Hall Thiruvananthapuram. URI Member Rev. Fr.  O.Thomas awarded with “Spiritual Award and Mr. P.K Ramachandran Nair was awarded “Karma yoga award “Prof. Kuraka was unanimously chosen by the award selection committee considering his dedicated work in the field of Education and U.R.I Activities.  In India.14th Pravasi Bharathi (Kerala) Awards 2016 “Pravasi Bharathiya Diwas” was declared by the Government of India in the year 2002 for honoring NRIs all over the world, for their contribution for the economic development of our nation and recognizing their role in the welfare of the society.

January 9 is fixed for the Pravasi Bharathi Day Celebrations every year, by the Central Government. In Kerala, Pravasi Bharathi Day Celebrations are organized every year since 2003, under the auspices of Pravasi Bharathi News Bullettin, NRI Co-ordination Council and regional committee comprising of social and political leaders.During these celebrations, prominent NRIs and eminent personalities from political, cultural, business, health and humanitarian sectors, who excel in their respective areas, are also felicitated and honoured with awards. They also give financial assistance to those gulf returnees who are suffering from diseases and poverty. In the previous years, the celebrations were held at Trivandrum in 2003, 2004, 2005 ,2009, 2010 , 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 at Ernakulam in 2006, at Kannur in 2007 and at Kozhikode in 2008. 

പ്രവാസി ഭാരതി വിദ്യാശ്രേയസ് അവാർഡിന് പ്രൊഫ്‌.ജോൺ കുരാക്കാർ  തെരഞ്ഞടുക്കപെട്ടു

തിരുവനന്തപുരം: പ്രവാസി ഭാരതി (കേരള) അവാര്‍ഡുകള്‍ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു. വിവിധ നിലകളില്‍ പ്രശസ്തരായവരെയാണ് അവാര്‍ഡിന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തത്. വിദ്യാശ്രേയസ് അവാർഡിന്   പ്രൊഫ്‌.ജോൺ കുരാക്കാർ  തെരഞ്ഞടുക്കപെട്ടു. യു.ആർ .ഐ  ഗ്ലോബൽ കൌൺസിൽ ട്രസ്റ്റി ആയ  പ്രൊഫ്‌. കുരാക്കാർ  കേരള കാവ്യ കലാ സാഹിതി  തുടങ്ങി  നിരവധി  സംഘടനകളുടെ സ്ഥാപകനും  നേതൃത്വ നിരയിൽ  പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന  വ്യക്തിയാണ് .സ്പിരിച്ചല്‍ എക്‌സലന്‍സ് അവാര്‍ഡ് യു.ആർ .ഐ  അംഗമായ  ഫാ. ഒ .തോമസിന്  ലഭിച്ചു . കർമ്മയോഗ അവാർഡ്‌  പി.കെ  രാമചന്ദ്രനും  ലഭിച്ചു .2016  ജനുവരി 11  നു വൈകിട്ട്  7  മണിക്ക്  തിരുവനന്തപുരം വി.ജെ റ്റി  ഹാളിൽ  നടന്ന വർണ്ണാഭമായ സമ്മേളനത്തിൽ  യു.ആർ .ഐ  അംഗങ്ങൾ  അവാർഡ്‌ ഏറ്റുവാങ്ങി . യോഗത്തിൽ  യു.ആർ .ഐ ക്കു  വേണ്ടി  പ്രൊഫ്‌. ജോൺ കുരാക്കാർ  പ്രസംഗിച്ചു .
