ST. GREGORIOS COLLEGE ART TOUR & FAMILY GET-TOGETHER AT ADITHYAA RESORT ON 27^TH MAY, 2011

Association of the Retired Teachers (ART), St. Gregorios College,Kottarakara arranged a Family Get-together and tour programme on 27^th May,2011 at Sasthamcotta-West Kallada Aadithyaa Lake side Resort. The team included 26 members. The journey started from Kottarakara at 8.30 pm. The team visited Sasthamcotta St. Horab Ashramam at 9.30 am. Breakfast was arranged at the Vijaya Castle, Sasthamcotta.

The ART team reached at the resort at 10.30 am. The Morning session ART meeting began at 10.30 am. Prof Achamma John, President ART presided. Prof. John Kurakar, Secretary welcomed the members. Prof T.G Rajan inaugurated the meeting. Prof T.J Jonson, Dr. K.C Raju, Dr. Yohannan Varghese were spoke on the occasion. Boating was at 11.30 am One hour boating was very useful and pleasurable. Lunch was 1.30 pm.

The business meeting was begun at 2.15 pm at Aadithyaa resort auditorium. Prof. V.K Mathew & Dr Yohannan Varghese presented the college service matters. Prof. M.K Joy kutty, Dr Jacob John, Prof.John Rajan, Prof. George Thomas were actively participated the discussions. Prof P.K Varghese delivered vote of thanks. After the evening tea at 3.45 pm the ART team returned to Kottarakara.

10TH ANNUAL FUNCTION

10th ANNUAL FUNCTION

The 10th Annual function of the Association of Retired Teachers (ART) was held at Neha Hall, Kalayapuram on 20th September,2010. Prof John Kurakar, General secretary, ART welcomed the members. Prof T. Babu kutty, president ART presided. Prof Abraham Philip, patron of the Association inaugurated the annual function. Prof K.J Cheriyan, Prof. P.A Mathew, Prof.P.S George, Prof. Jacob Rajan, Mr. Eapen Cheriyan (RTD Manager) Prof. George Thomas, Prof> John Rajan, Prof.Annamma George , Dr Thomas Zacharfia, Prof. Suseela Devi were spoke on the occasion. Dr Jacob John delivered vote of thanks. Prof. T.J Johnson, Kumari Navya,Kumari Christeena Raichal Eapen preented arts programmes such as singlle song, group song etc.

Retirement function of Prof.P.K Varghese

Kerala Private College Teachers Association, Kottarakara College Unit was conducted the study camp and retirement function of Prof. P.K Varghese at Marthoma Resort Centre at Mattupetty, Munnar on 14^th and 15^th of April, 2010.

The study team include seven Professors. They are:

The team started their journey from Kottarakara at 7 am on 14^th April. The teachers team visited Koothattukulam meat production unit and the famous pilgrim centers like Kothamangalam Valiyapally and Cheriyapally. The team also visited many historical centers and agricultural garden's. 6 pm the team reached Munnar Marthoma Resort Center.

MEMORABLE RETIREMENT FUNCTION

The memorable and unforgettable Retirement function of Prof P.K Varghese began at 9.15 pm on 14^th April at Marthoma Resort Center Hall. Prof. John Kurakar presided over the function. Prof. T.S Joy welcomed the members. Prof. Varghese John, Prof. G. Jacob, Prof. Varghese Panicker were spoke on the function. Prof. P.K Varghse expressed his intimacy and friend ship with emotional words. He stressed the importance of education and moral values.

Prof Raju Thomas expressed vote of thanks. The function ended at 12 pm.

15^th April 8 am onwards the team visited Mattupetty, Chinnar Kenal & Tata Company and important places in Munnar and neighboring places.

The team also visited some encient and historical valued chiristian churches such as Kothamangalam Valiyapally, Cheriyapally, Kuravilangad Marthamariyam pally and churches.

KERALA RETIRED COLLEGE TEACHERS ASSOCIATION FORMED

More than two hundred professors attended in the formation meeting of the Kerala Retired College Teachers Association(KRCTA) held at Mar Basalious College, Kottayam on 20th March, 2010. Prof. AbrahamPhilip, St Gregorios College, Kottarakara presided over the formation meeting. Prof Geevarghese, Principal, Govt. College, Trivandrum gave key note address. Association formed a 21 member committee. Prof Abraham Philip is the president and Prof Geevarghese, Gen secreatry. Prof John Kurakar also selected in the central executive

LANGUAGE TEACHERS MEET AT MALLAPPALLY-CHENGAROOR

A team of seven teachers including: Prof. John Kurakar, Prof. Molly Kurakar, Prof. Nirmala Mathew, Prof. Annamma,Prof. L. Lalthambika, Rev.Fr Prof. D. Jacob, Rev. Fr Prof Thomas Varghese were visited the Chengaroor Orthodox church and Dr. Jose kutty's father inlaw's house on 27th March,2010 for attending the funeral function of Prof.Jose kutty's father in law. We met Dr Kuttappan sir, Professor of Catholicate College, Prof. K.S Leelamma and Prof Kuruvila sir and other few friends there at Chengaroor orthodox church.
